The notes and content of Pete Sekora
Pete Sekora owned Independent Music in Chicago, Il. He was a jewelry maker, mouthpiece maker and inventor. These are some of hits notes from making mouthpieces at Old’s.
John would tell stories of Pete from time to time. John before working at Benge, worked with Pete making jewelry and learned a lot of his hammering skills from making jewelry.
There is a connection between Pete and Domenick and mouthpiece making that I haven’t quite figured out. I do know Domenick helped Old’s in the early days making tools and mandrels. So my guess would be they became friendly during that time.
John was in possession of Pete’s mouthpiece making box, but there was also mouthpiece tooling with Domenick’s mouthpiece cabinet as well. If you have anymore information on Pete please email me to add!
